Maple Nut Brittle
Ingredients
- 1 cup Fuller's Sugarhouse Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 lb Butter
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2-3 cups Favorite nuts
Preparation
- Melt butter. Mix in sugar and Fuller’s Sugarhouse pure maple syrup.
- Carefully boil mixture to 300°, or 'hard crack' stage.
- Remove from heat and pour on nuts.
- Spread mixture evenly onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
- Let cool until it is room temperature, hard, and you can lift it from the pan (1-2 hours or longer depending on the thickness of the pan and temperature of your room), then break into pieces. *You can put it in the fridge to speed up the process, but it will cause you to loose the 'shine' of the brittle.
