Maple Teriyaki Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Fuller's Pure NH Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 3 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Teaspoons Fresh Ginger (grated)
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch (used as thickener)
  • 2 Tablespoons Water (used as thickener)

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, water, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a small bowl combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water to create a cornstarch slurry. Slowly pour this into the sauce mixture while stirring continuously.
  4. Simmer for an additional 3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and let the teriyaki marinade cool down.
  6. Pour into an air-tight storage container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
