Maple Teriyaki Marinade
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Fuller's Pure NH Maple Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
- 3 Cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 Teaspoons Fresh Ginger (grated)
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch (used as thickener)
- 2 Tablespoons Water (used as thickener)
Preparation
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, water, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water to create a cornstarch slurry. Slowly pour this into the sauce mixture while stirring continuously.
- Simmer for an additional 3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the teriyaki marinade cool down.
- Pour into an air-tight storage container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
