Maple Apple Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Apples, cored and diced
  • 1 1/4 cups Apple Cider or Juice
  • 1/2 cup Fuller’s Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Grated Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch (about 1/4 teaspoon) Ground Cloves
  • 1 pinch (about 1/4 teaspoon) Salt

Preparation

  1. In a slow cooker combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, stirring halfway through cooking.
  2. Remove the cinnamon stick and puree with an immersion blender or in a blender.
  3. Once blended, place back in the crockpot uncovered on high for 1-2 hours or until slightly thickened. Adjust the sweetness as desired.
  4. Cool and spread onto toast, muffins, pancakes, and more. Store in an airtight container in the fridge to use for up to 1 month.
