Maple Soy Blistered Shishito Peppers

1 Pint (8-10 oz) Shishito Peppers

2 T Sesame Oil

2 T Soy Sauce

2 T Fuller's Sugarhouse Maple Syrup

Pinch of Salt

1 T Sesame Seeds
Preparation
- Rinse shitshito peppers and poke a small slit in each to create a steam vent.
- Heat a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add sesame oil.
- Toss peppers in the pan coating them in sesame oil. Cook in a single layer, tossing occasionally, until the skin of the peppers has puffed and starts blacken.
- Add soy sauce, Fuller's maple syrup, salt, and sesame seeds. Continue to cook, tossing occasionally for 1-2 minutes, letting the sauce slightly reduce.
- Add peppers to a serving plate or dish and drizzle with the maple soy sauce from the pan. Serve while hot.
